Welcome to the site!  My name his Justin Hand, avid Florida sports fan and writer.  I live in Georgia with my family and I am a USAF Veteran.

I decided to turn my passion for sports into a writing experiment in early 2012.  What you see now is what the site has developed into over the past three years.  The site covers the history of American sports through short easy to read articles.  I hope to bring you many great moments, stats and events through my articles.  Some of which you may already know and some you may have never heard of.  I believe you will always find information that you have not known previously.

Feel free to shoot me an email at AmericanSportsHistory15@gmail.com if you have any topic ideas if you would like to see something covered here.  Thanks for visiting and hope you enjoy the site!

  1. Hey Justin,

I reblogged your article today. Really like the work you do on your posts, and I wanted to ask you if you would like to be listed in our ‘contributor’ tab for recognition. Also, as you probably have seen, when we reblog your articles, everyone who clicks on ‘read more’ after the 1st few sentences, will be re-directed back to your site. Hopefully this will increase your traffic. We will also have you listed in aour blog roll which could also realize more traffic for you.
Let me know what you think..(and thanks for the follower on twitter!)

I don’t know if you’ve checked it out, but it’s mlbrandomfandom.blogspot.com. Email me at mlbrandomfandom@gmail.com if you’re interested or have any questions. I also DMed you on Twitter.

  3. Hey Justin…Best wishes with your site and I hope accomplish your goals.

    I plan in subscribing.

I publish a free monthly newsletter on historical college football, “The College Football Historian and would like to invite you to become a subscriber.

Also, how about a quick story on Mount Union (Ohio, D3)? Two weeks ago, the school scored 70 points in a semi-final game…this established the mark for points in a season at 844…and covers teams scoring at least 500+ points, circa 1885.

If you need some stats/data, give me a shout and I’ll help provide you with such. After the first CFP, I can send you a Top 10 or ever school over 500+ during the 2014 season.

I am here if you need assistance with college football related findings.

Tex Noel, Executive Director, Intercollegiate Football Researchers Association (IFRA).

    Merry Christmas!

    • Thanks Tex, I really appreciate the comment. I will definatley contact you in the near future and get some stats from you. I plan on subscribing to you as well and look forward to ready your college football content. Have a great holiday season!
